A beautiful location for people with disabilities

Gita and Johan’s story shows how small adjustments and a willingness to meet guests’ needs can make a significant difference to their travel experience.

Adding assistive brackets and a special shower chair in the bathroom is a great way to improve accessibility and allows Gita to enjoy her stay comfortably. The fact that she could have breakfast in the garden every morning with her husband is a wonderful example of how hospitality and kindness can make a holiday unforgettable.

Clearly, as hosts or hostesses, we care deeply about the needs of our guests and go out of our way to make them feel welcome and cared for. Initiatives like this contribute to inclusive and welcoming travel experiences for people of different backgrounds and needs. Thank you dear Gita and Johan, and I hope we can welcome and help many more guests to enjoy their holidays carefree. See you soon!

“Through Facebook I found this beautiful B & B and my eye fell on the Lodge for people with mobility problems, but since I am in a wheelchair, I contacted Bert and Linda whether it would work with a wheelchair.

They were immediately enthusiastic and willing to think along with me about what I needed and after some deliberation we decided to book. And what a wonderful relaxing time we had in a great environment. The Lodge is on the first floor and the bathroom with sliding door is spacious enough for my wheelchair, a shower chair had been arranged and a brace for the toilet.

For me the accommodation was easily accessible, but this is of course very personal so best to contact them.

We would definitely like to come back to this little paradise in Austria.”
