Take a walk around this beautiful lake

During a hike on the Millstätter Alpe you have a beautiful view of Lake Millstätter and the surrounding mountains and you will be “rewarded” with a grenade. In the Alps, the Millstätter Alpe is the most important site of grenade. Therefore, hikers like to go on a treasure hunt around Lake Millstätter. The lake is located near the town of Millstatt in Austria and has a length of 12 kilometers and is up to 1.5 kilometers wide. It is the second largest lake in Carinthia; only Lake Wörthersee is larger.

Our experience with the Millstätter See

A quiet campsite is located directly on the clear drinking water Millstätter See, surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape, amidst fruit and walnut trees. Around Lake Millstätter there is an approx. 28 km long cycle path which is ideal for (re)beginners and families who want to enjoy a relaxing bike ride. The cycle path runs directly through our village, Dellach, and along the way there are numerous adventurous possibilities. The bike tour around the lake can also be shortened or combined with the two bike ferries that cross the lake. Of course, the region also offers more challenging mountain bike and racing tours, such as the star trail or the Nockbalm circuit.
